"In the surviving chartae there is no mention of Diest in the decades following its foundation. As Diest adhered to the Urbanist Observance during the Great Schism, there should be entries for it in the Urbanist Chartae, but such are, in fact, rare, probably due to the incomplete state of the surviving documentation and the remoteness of Diest from the mother-house at Seitz in Slovenia" (p. 184).
